I-NAPA Announces Federal Nonprofit Status
I-NAPA is proud to announce that it has officially been granted federal 501(c)(3) nonprofit status by the Internal Revenue Service—a major milestone that elevates the organization’s ability to serve its members and advance the local government profession nationwide. This achievement, made possible through the dedication of the Board of Directors, members, and key supporters, builds on I-NAPA’s previous California-only designation and opens the door to expanded fundraising, partnerships, and grant opportunities across the country. With this new status, donations to I-NAPA are now tax-deductible, providing additional incentives for supporters to contribute to its mission. The designation also reinforces I-NAPA’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and long-term impact. Moving forward, the organization will focus on strengthening programs, growing its network, and launching new initiatives to continue empowering professionals in local government.
